WEEK TWENTY FIVE - RESULTS, TEACHER TRAINING & BACK TO A TENT

WEEK TWENTY FIVE - RESULTS, TEACHER TRAINING & BACK TO THE TENT
This week, all of the karma yogis will be moving back into tents to make room for the many guests who will arrive for the high season.  I feel fortunate that I am able to be in a nice tent hut again, and with the weather getting a bit cooler, I am hopeful that a fan at night will keep me comfortable.

I will be sad to leave Gopala, my current room (pictured above).  It has been a very nice place to stay, and I hope to stay in it again someday.

Time is flying by faster than ever, as I realize that in a week, I will be taking yoga teacher training and will have been here a full 6 months.

So many changes have occurred in my body, from more pink in my skin tone and nail beds, fewer cracks on the bottom of my feet, more hair growth, longer periods of sleep without waking and elimination regularity without coffee to name a few.

My ability to sit in a crossed legged position - yogi style - for meditation has improved dramatically.  I can now sit in this position for both of our Satsang sessions.

The first three months here, I sat in a chair for every evening's Satsang because my back would otherwise hurt.

There have been many subtle changes in my body and with my yoga postures.  My own self observation has improved, and what changes I note are very significant in breathing, energy, flexibility and strength.  My herbs and supplements, along with the rejuvenative Ayurveda - yoga lifestyle are healing and rebuilding my very being.

I can't wait to do my yoga teacher training, as I know my postures will continue to improve, and I'm told the course is transformative on many levels.  After the Teacher Training Course (TTC), I plan to do another video and take more photos to compare with those I shared a few months ago.

One of those small but significant changes that I noticed - When I was home in Chicago, I had a very difficult time opening jars due to lack of hand strength.  My hands are rather small, and I had been noticing increasing loss of strength in my hands the past few years.   I needed someone to help me or had to bang on the lid extensively to loosen it, often still unable to open the jar.

Just the other day, I realized that while holding a tray filled with dishes and food in one hand, I was able to fairly easily grip and lift a full 1/2 gallon container of Almond Milk (with no handle) and pour it into a cup with one hand.  That is something I would not have been able to do without the help of my other hand before.  It feels great to be gaining strength, instead of losing strength in my hands.

I've continued to do my Positive Thinking phrase each night and fall asleep repeating it.  I have to admit that I'm not very good at remembering in the morning.  So, it is likely to take me longer to see the results I am confident will happen.

Did any of you try it?  Any feedback?  Please let me know.

I generally feel pretty good, but the sleeping through the night is not consistent.  I thought I had some incredible news to report, as I've had stretches of a few weeks straight, without getting up to go to the bathroom during the night.

I'm praying that my last few nights of being up again during the night are just pre - move and pre -TTC jitters.  It's a much longer walk to the washrooms when I am in the tent.  At least I'm down to only once getting up during the night.  That's been very consistent for a few months .  I'll keep you posted.
